History of Église Maison de Refuge Multiculturelle Inc.

The Church  and My Story

The story of how the Maison de Refuge Multiculturelle Inc. (Multicultural House of Refuge) came about! Born again at the age of 9, I had an out of body experience on a summer eve in a Free Methodist Church where I used to watch cartoons for 5 cents or the equivalent of 25 Haitian cents. Even though I do not remember the date, but I remember it as if it were today.  A group of missionaries came to preach a week revival in Jeremie and the preacher preached on Mathew 11:28. That Day, Jesus entered into my heart, and when I got out of the church, the world looked strange to me. I had a feeling that I would have some calling on my life. Also, in my teenage years, I had a vision of me walking in an alley dressed in white. In that vision, I would divinely enter houses, and the Holy Spirit would raise me up to the ceilings. I saw people kneeling down to the power of God that was manifested in me. And at the end, I would be lowered back to the alley. The third time, I saw the face of Jesus and his hands crossed praying on my behalf. I woke up and could not sleep again.

My story began after migrating to the U.S; there I spent several years in serving the Lord and several ministries in New York and Philadelphia.  I merely remembered on a good Friday in 2003 while traveling to New York; I began to talk to a woman of God on how God is giving me visions like if I were the head of the Church that I used to attend.  She began to prophesy to me. As I listened to her, I began to hear the Holy Spirit telling me “do you want to walk or do you want me to force you to walk?”  and while I was under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I began to answer back to Him “Yes I will.” God kept talking to me throughout that Easter weekend. On my way back to Philadelphia God continue speaking to me. I spent a month filled with the Holy Ghost, and that’s during that time, the ministry was birth in me. God gave me House of Refuge then, and the lady who prophesied to me was running a daycare at that time. While the Holy Spirit was dealing with me, I would feel like someone giving birth to a natural baby. Then, God began to speak to her about helping me putting something together. That’s when she came up with the Multicultural part of the Vision that we call House of Refuge. Soon after, we started to work with Temple University Law School, and they legally helped us set the vision in Motion.

To make a long story short, I migrated to Georgia in 2008; God opened a door for me in 2011 to start this ministry! May His (God’s) name be glorified throughout the life of this ministry. So today as Habakuk 2:1-3 says:

  1. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

  2. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

  3.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

I present to you the how of this ministry! If God has put on your heart come and join us, you are welcome to do so and work together with us to advance the Kingdom?

Yours Truly
