History of Église Maison De Refuge Multiculturelle and her Founders

The Church  and My Story

The story of how Église Maison de Refuge Multiculturelle Inc. (The Multicultural House of Refuge Church) came about!

Born again at the age of 9, Pastor Rodney Joël Féquière Jr., had an out of body experience on a Summer Eve at a Free Methodist Church in Jérémie Haïti where he used to go watch cartoons for 5 cents or the equivalent of 25 Haïtian cents at that time. Even though he does not remember the exact date, but he recalled that day as if it were yesterday.  A group of Caucasian missionaries came to preach a week revival in the country and the revival theme was found in Mathew 11:28. That Day, he heard Jesus' voice calling him and he responded by letting Jesus into his heart, and when he got out of the church, the world looked different in his eyes.

At that particular moment, he had the feeling that he would have some type of calling on his life. Soon enough the calling began to take shape after migrating to the U.S in 1987; there he spent several years in serving the Lord at several ministries in New York, in Philadelphia and now in Georgia.  In the Summer of 1991, he met his one and only devoted wife and soul mate Beatrice Sœurette Valentin, a Jacmelienne Haïti born and raised who reveres the Lord and whom God handpicked on his behalf. The two wedded each other on August 7, 1993 at Bethany French Baptist Church in Jamaica Queens. God blessed him and his wife with three wonderful, God fearing Children.

Pastor Rodney Joël Féquière Jr. holds an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, a Bachelor Degree in Management of information System and is an ordained Minister of the Southern Baptist Convention. He also started a Master in Divinity at the Palmer Theological Seminary in Winnewood Pennsylvania. In addition, he is currently enrolled at Ames International School of Ministry.

He merely remembered on a good Friday in 2003 while traveling to New York; that God began to speak to his heart through words of Prophecy. Then, God began to address a woman of God about helping him put some kind of ministry together and House of Refuge Church birthed. As the vision started to take shape, she came up with the Multicultural part of the Vision. Soon after, we started to work with Temple University Law School, and they legally helped us set the vision in Motion.

To make a long story short, Pastor Rodney Joël Féquière Jr., migrated to Georgia in 2008 and ministered at several congregations in the area; God opened a door for him in 2011 to start this amazing ministry named "Église Maison de Refuge Multiculturelle! This ministry is a 501(c)(3) Organization whose soul purpose is to help those who are wounded and doesn't belong to no one man. This is a Kingdom base ministry whose sole King is Jesus-Christ and we are all workers in the vast fields of humanity. We are watchman on a tower who's warning the nation of upcoming swords. May His (God’s) name be glorified throughout the life of this ministry. So today as Habakuk 2:1-3 says:

  1. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

  2. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

  3.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Therefore my beloved, we present to you the how of this ministry! If God has put on your heart to come and join us on continuing the fulfillment of that vision, you are welcome to do so as we take on the endeavor and work together with you to advance the Kingdom?

Yours Truly

Rodney Joël Féquière Jr.,

Senior Pastor
